Alessa Crossan, M.D.

Dr. Alessa Crossan is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases. She brings a strong academic and clinical background to the Virginia Retina Center, where she is dedicated to providing expert, compassionate care for patients with complex vitreoretinal conditions.

Dr. Crossan completed her undergraduate degree in Environmental Science at Stanford University, followed by her medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. She also completed her ophthalmology residency at Albert Einstein, where she developed a strong foundation in comprehensive eye care.

She went on to complete a vitreoretinal surgical fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where she received advanced training in retinal surgery and disease management.

Dr. Crossan is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.

Her training and experience allow her to provide the latest diagnostic and surgical treatments for retinal conditions while maintaining a patient-first approach to care.
